Chris Rock: If I Wasn’t an Actor “I’d be at UPS, Happy.”

Date:

Following several calls for Chris Rock to boycott The Oscars, Rock revealed what he would do if he wasn’t an actor.

50 Cent and Tyrese both posted online calling for Chris Rock to boycott the Oscars. In fact, 50 cent posted: “Chris please do not do the [Oscars]. You mean a lot man, don’t do it. Please.”

On the season premire of MSG Network’s Four Courses with JB Smoove airing on Tuesday, Chris Rock says if he wasn’t an actor, “I’d be driving a truck, because everyone in my family drives trucks. I’d be the funniest UPS driver you’d ever seen. You’d be delivering packages to yourself, just to get me to come to your house! ‘Come on, can you please send this over, this guy’s hysterical.’ ”

But, Chris Rock says he would still be happy if he wasn’t an actor: “I’d be happy. That’s the thing. People always think, ‘If I wasn’t famous, I’d be miserable or I’d be in jail or whatever.’ But I’d be at UPS, happy.”

After two consecutive years with no non-white actors nominated at the Academy Awards, the show’s being boycotted by Will Smith and Spike Lee.
