Missing Hollywood Actress Adea Shabani’s Body Found In Shallow Grave, Police Say

Date:

Detectives believe an aspiring model and actress Adea Shabani who had been missing for over a month was killed and buried in a shallow grave in Northern California, police said on Tuesday.

The model’s boyfriend, who was engaged to another woman and killed himself following a police chase last week, is the lead suspect in her death, Los Angeles Police Capt. Billy Hays explained in news conference. He said an autopsy would confirm whether the body is that of 25-year-old Adea Shabani.

She was last seen leaving her apartment in Hollywood with her boyfriend, 33-year-old Chris Spotz, on February 23rd.

Los Angeles police found her remains on Monday over 400 miles away by a creek in Spenceville Wildlife Area.

According to reports, Shabani argued in the Santa Clarita area just outside of Los Angeles and that he let her out on the side of a freeway and had not seen her again. LAPD said detectives found nothing that corroborated that statement.

“We don’t believe that was true,” Hayes said. “There was nothing to support what he was saying, so that’s what caused our interest in it.”

Shabani had been living in LA for two years when she went missing. According to the NYPost, her Facebook profile says she studied business administration at the American University of Paris after leaving her home country of Macedonia.

Shabani was a student at Stellar Adler Academy of Acting, located across the street from where the Oscars are held.
