Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t worried about Chris Rock’s joke from the Academy Awards.
Pinkett Smith, who was one of the most vocal proponents of a boycott against the 2016 Oscars due to their lack of diversity, was mocked by Rock, who hosted the ceremony, during his opening monologue.
“Hey look it comes with the territory, we gotta keep it moving,” the 44-year-old Gotham star told photographers as she walked through Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday. “We got a lot of stuff we gotta handle, a lot of stuff going on in our world right now. We gotta keep it moving.”
During the ceremony on February 28th, Chris Rock skewered the actress, joking, “Jada said she’s not coming. I was like, ‘Isn’t she on a TV show?’ Jada’s gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited!”
Chris Rock went on to poke fun at Pinkett’s husband, Will Smith, joking that she was made he didn’t get nominated for his role in Concussion. “It’s not fair that Will was this good and didn’t get nominated. You’re right. It’s also not fair that Will was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West!”
