The ‘Big Bang Theory’ Contract Negotiations Have Now Delayed The Start Of Season 8
The Big Bang Theory contract negotiations have gotten pretty serious. According to recent reports, Big Bang Theory contract negotiations have now delayed the start of Season 8.
“Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on The Big Bang Theory — which was originally scheduled to begin today — has been postponed,” Warner Bros. TV, which producesThe Big Bang Theory, said in a statement. [E!]
Variety reports that the only thing that has been shut down so far is a single table read, which can be made up or simply cancelled. But, the show still has the possibility of premiering on schedule. CBS executive told an audience during the TCAs earlier this month that, “We’re feeling very confident that everything will work out, These deals manage to get done miraculously somehow year after year.”
But, it is concerning that the ‘Big Bang Theory‘ has had to delay production in order to satisfy the cast’s contracts. It was rumored that the talent agents of the actors in the show are arguing for a million dollars per episode. Either way contract negotiations is a tough time for networks and actors alike.
