The Vampire Diaries is losing another leading actress.
When Nina Dobrev announced that she was leaving The Vampire Diaries after several years on the show, it sent shockwaves throughout the film industry and the Internet. Her role has been tough to replace but, another Vampire Diaries actress is reportedly leaving the TV series.
According to reports, Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham is leaving the Atlanta filmed vampire series after season 8. The news comes only a few weeks after The CW announced that the TV series would return for an eighth season. “Season eight will be my last season,” Graham told Us Weekly, which was the first to report the news. “But you know what, another season is a whole other year, and we’re going to blow it out.”
The Vampire Diaries has had a rough patch lately as the show was moved to Fridays and ratings have continued to slip. In fact, many analysts assumed the series was going to get cancelled after season 7.
Kat Graham, starred on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries for seven season. She started her career in the film industry by working as a back-up dancer in music videos featuring Jamie Foxx, Pharrell and Missy Elliot. According to reports, the actress sold a TV show to The CW which would make her the executive producer on the project.
