In a highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Brock Yates’ acclaimed book “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine,” Michael Mann assembles an impressive ensemble cast. The official trailer for Mann’s “Ferrari” has just been released, just before its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Adam Driver delivers a compelling portrayal of the iconic Enzo Ferrari.
The film chronicles Ferrari, a former Formula 1 racer, during the tumultuous summer of 1957. Balancing the challenges of his struggling automotive empire with his personal life, Ferrari navigates through family tragedies, including the loss of his son, Dino, and the unraveling of his marriage. All the while, he endeavors to revive his once-thriving, now financially beleaguered car business.
In NEON’s tantalizing one-and-a-half-minute trailer, Driver commands attention as he races through the picturesque landscapes of Italy. Interspersed with these dynamic scenes are glimpses into Ferrari’s life story. Penelope Cruz steps into the role of Laura Ferrari, Enzo’s wife, while Shailene Woodley portrays his mistress, Lina Lardi. Patrick Dempsey takes on the character of fellow racecar driver Piero Taruffi, with Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian, and Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago.
“Ferrari” is scheduled to hit theaters later this year, making its debut on December 25. Experience the adrenaline-pumping yet dialogue-light trailer for “Ferrari.”
