ABC announces that they will cancel their new comedy series, ‘Selfie’ and no longer air new episodes for the comedy series.
ABC’s new comedy/drama, Selfie has been canceled and the new series will not be able to complete its one and only season. Selfie joins ABC’s new comedy Manhattan Love Story, on the list of new TV shows that were canceled this season. ABC has decided not to order more episodes of Selfie beyond the first 13 episodes. Selfie will air one last time this Tuesday and it is expected that the show will be deleted from ABC’s schedule and replaced with another TV series.

ABC’s Selfie centered around a Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan) as she plays someone who is the victim of an embarrassing viral video. She seeks the help of Henry Higgs (John Cho) to help her remarket her self and revamp her image in the real world. ABC’s Selfie featured Karen Gillan, John Cho, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

ABC recently has not had that much success with sitcoms on Tuesday nights. The ratings for Selfie were 5.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-to-49. As new episodes premiered, viewers stopped watching, and the show’s chances of being renewed decreased dramatically. Until ABC pulled the plug.
