ABC Orders Live-Action ‘Jetsons’ TV Pilot

Date:

ABC orders a live-action Jetsons TV pilot, which means the show may be coming soon.

ABC has ordered a live-action adaptation of the hit cartoon The Jetsons, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show, which is based on the Hanna-Barbera characters, will be a multi-camera sitcom set 100 years in the future and looks at America’s future family through a modern lens. The network has given the show a put pilot order, meaning it will most likely go to series. The show will be written by Gary Janetti, and will be executive produced by Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, and co-executive producer Jackie Levine. The cast of the show has not been released, which means casting directors are most likely casting talent for the new Jetsons sitcom.
