‘Stealing Jokes’ Extras Casting Call
STEALING JOKES will need about 200 Extras total, spread over the 4 week shoot in and around Detroit, starting April 11th, 2022.
The rate for General Extras this time is $120/8hrs ($15/hr).
About a dozen Featured Extras will also be needed. The rate for Featured Extras is $500/12hrs.

All roles are currently 18 and over only.
All Extras roles are non-union, but the production is SAG, so SAG COVID protocols will be followed. (Testing (production provided) will be required prior to filming days.)
Must be local to the SE Michigan area, or willing to pay for your own travel costs for testing and shoot dates.

Mike Young, a comedian, will write and direct ‘Stealing Jokes,’ a Woodward Original production.
Comedian Mike Young has signed a contract for his newest film, Stealing Jokes, based in Detroit. Mike Young will direct and write the feature, which follows three up-and-coming stand-up comics from Detroit who become fed up with being taken advantage of and organizing a heist.

Woodward Original, founded by and run by Jon Braue and his crew, will produce the series. Young’s Red Leaf Entertainment will collaborate with Woodward co-founder and CEO Jon Braue and his team on the project. The production company Woodward Original is a full-service business that plans to focus on Detroit-based film and television content as film incentives continue to make the city more attractive to production companies.
Young is a native Detroiter with previous credits, including My Man Is a Loser for Lionsgate, Netflix’s A Stand-Up Guy, and Adam, featuring Jeff Daniels and Aaron Paul. Young’s first stand-up comedy special, Who The F Is Mike Young, was released on Bill Burrs’ All Things Comedy YouTube channel.
ICM Partners and Barnes Morris Yorn are the agencies handling Young’s deal.
