Wedding Crashers 2 coming soon?
Everything in Hollywood seems to be getting remade or rebooted nowadays. And it looks like Wedding Crashers is going to get the sequel treatment.
While on the promotional trail for Nocturnal Animals, Isla Fisher had some news on Today for people who were looking for another Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn movie.
“I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel. So I’m really excited to see what’s happened to Gloria… there’s some talk of it.”
Now, this isn’t a confirmation of a done deal, but if there’s a franchise that can be built around the hit comedy from over 10 years ago, Hollywood can do it. Sure, previous reboots haven’t done that well. For example, Dumb and Dumber 2 and Zoolander 2 failed reach the audience that once loved them ten years ago. Compounded with the fact that many casting directors argue that acting talent doesn’t even matter, a Wedding Crashers 2 movie maybe a hard sale. But, that doesn’t mean Hollywood can’t replace some of the movie’s key actor with a YouTube star and an Instagram model. Perhaps, PewDiePie can make his big screen debut.
