Mark your calendars for Wednesday, 27th September 2023, because that’s when the auditions will occur. This is an in-person audition only, so bring your A-game. Remember, no self-tapes will be accepted, so be prepared to shine in person.
As a dancer in “The Snowman,” you’ll be tasked with executing choreography with impeccable ballet or contemporary technique. But that’s not all – you’ll also need to bring your acting skills to the forefront, infusing warmth and charm into your character on stage. Energy will be your best friend in this performance, as dynamic and lively dancing is a must throughout the show.
For male presenting dancers taking on the role of “The Snowman,” a height of 6 feet or taller is required. In addition, genuine warmth, charm, and comfort with aerial work are essential attributes for this role.
Requirements:
- If you’re a male presenting dancer looking to embody “The Snowman,” make sure you stand tall at 6 feet or above, exuding the warmth and charm that this iconic character demands. Comfort with aerial work will be a crucial aspect of this role.
- For male presenting dancers and swings in other roles, the target is a height range of 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches. We’re looking for dynamic contemporary dancers with a dash of charm and a lot of energy.
- Female presenting dancers and swings, get ready to dazzle us with your exceptional energy and technique. Some roles may require pointe work, so indicate your proficiency on your CV or cover letter.
