Casting directors are now searching for a young girl to play the lead role in a sci-fi movie alongside Twilight star Robert Pattinson. According to Kent Live, casting directors will be holding an open casting call in Margate on Saturday, July 22nd and producers are looking specifically for a girl between the age of 12 and 14.
The movie is directed by award-winning filmmaker Claire Denis and will star Pattinson, who is most known for playing the lead role of vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga.
The movie centers around a group of criminals who are sent on an alternative energy finding mission in space with one of the main characters, Monte, played by Pattinson. Mia Goth, who is known for her role in Nymphomaniac, is also set to play Monte’s daughter Willow, as well as Juliette Binoche and Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000).
Des Hamilton Casting has previously cast lead roles for movies including This is England, Top Boy, Bronson, Four Lions, The Firm, Green Street and most recently, War Machine. Casting directors are looking for people who fit the description to “come along and try out” for High Life, which is scheduled to be released in 2018.
“We must stress that no previous acting experience is necessary and whoever goes on to feature in the film will be highly paid.
“We are known for our unorthodox methods of casting, often visiting schools and drama groups when casting for films, rather than going via the traditional actor and agent route,” the casting company said in a statement.
The open call will take place from 12-4pm at JoJo’s School of Dance, Buckingham Studios, Buckingham Rd, Margate, CT9 5SR. For more information, visit deshamilton.com.
