Teen Wolf is a TV series that currently airs on MTV. It is based on the 1985 film, Teen Wolf. The series first premiered in 2011, following the MTV Movie Awards, and focuses on the life of Scott McCall, a high school student and social outcast who is is bitten by a werwolf. Scott tries to keep a “normal life” while keeping the werewolf secret from everyone. Everyone except his friend ‘Stiles’ Stilinski who helps him through his life changes. Teen Wolf was recently renewed for a 3rd season which will include 24 episodes. Teen Wolf first recieved high response from critics, and the premiere episode drew in a total of 2.18 million viewers and is syndicated around the world including Pakistan on Animax. The theme “finding your niche” is a definite undertone throught many of the episodes and is illustrated in the personalities of the werewolves.
Teen Wolf features Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, and Tyler Hoechlin in association with Adelstein Productions, DiGa Vision, First Cause, Inc, and MGM Television. Currently, Teen Wolf films in Atlanta but the third season is scheduled to be filmed in Los Angeles.
