An upcoming social video centering around menopause is now casting in Oakland, California.
An upcoming social video is now casting women who have experienced MENOPAUSE willing to talk candidly. Producers are seeking various women in different stages: peri-menopause, thick-of-it or past the worst & looking forward. Talents will be compensated $300 for talking about 2 hours.
How to apply:
CASTING NOTICE (social campaign): Women who have experienced MENOPAUSE willing to talk candidly (various women in different stages: peri-menopause, thick-of-it or past the worst & looking forward)!
Some will be selected for taped sessions (Oakland, CA) to openly discuss symptoms (rate: $300/approx 2hrs).
To submit: Email name, contact info & city/state of residence. MUST incl short video where you talk about your menopause experience: the unexpected, humorous, grief, if any, &/or raw truth of this incredible journey! Video should NOT look professionally shot or edited! Quick cell video is best (1-2 min). Help us get to know the unique YOU! You may incl paragraph or two— fun facts abt you & of course, your menopause experience. Email full submission to [email protected]
MORE: We’re not looking for this to feel like a product testimonial, but rather an overall experience w/menopause; how it affects sleep, stress, weight, etc. Keep it personal! We’re looking to cast dynamic personalities talking candidly! Send via Dropbox (or .mov). This video-series/campaign is aiming to break silence & ensure multiple dimensions of menopause experience are represented & heard. Producers want to give women the feeling they are not alone & to create a culture of empathy & understanding around menopause, while promoting specific products to safety/naturally manage symptoms (you do not need to take or have taken various products).
NOTE: Make sure video link is attached to email w/full contact info, so we don’t lose you! Best to also incl name/contact info & where you live on video itself. Studio sessions are in Oakland, CA. While we prioritize women local to the area, we will consider women from all over. Diversity & women of various backgrounds encouraged to apply. No acting experience necessary (if you’re a member of acting unions, pls mention in your email, but note: this is not a union project. It is simply a social campaign & potential inclusion on website).
Submissions accepted on a rolling basis. However, we are locking our women soon — so submit ASAP!
What happens next:
– Some women will be selected for possible Skype interviews.
– Some selects will be scheduled for taped, in-person studio sessions in Oakland, CA (early Feb). Rate $300
– Some selects will be featured in a social media campaign & online (this includes a potential photo shoot in your home, etc, so viewers can get to know you!). Rate TBD. ~ PLS SHARE ~
