The Chi is now casting extras for child actors in Chicago, Illinois.

Showtime’s new TV series The Chi is now casting child actors to work on scenes filming between June 14th through the June 23rd in Chicago, Illinois.

About The Chi:

Executive produced by Common, The Chi is a relevant, timely and distinctive coming-of-age story and follows a half dozen interrelated characters in the South Side of Chicago.

CASTING CALL!
PROJECT: THE CHI – EPISODE 102
ROLE: NON-UNION EXTRAS
SHOOT DATES: June 14th to June 23rd (no weekends) – your child will work one day within this time frame.
RATE: $150/8
LOCATION: CHICAGO

LOOKING FOR KIDS WHO CAN PLAY THE FOLLOWING:

DAYCARE KIDS:

We are looking for KIDS with current work permits to play daycare kids.
Female/Male, Age Range: 1 – 5 years old, African American or Hispanic

PLAYGROUND KIDS:
We are looking for KIDS with current work permits to play Playground kids.
Female/Male, Age Range: 6 -8 years old, African American or Hispanic

If interested and available, please send an email to [email protected] with the following:

1) Please put in the role(s) you are submitting for in the subject line i.e. Daycare Kids or Playground Kids

2) In the submission email include your child’s: name, age range, height, weight, clothing sizes, city and zip, phone and email and give us the name of the guardian who would be on-set

3) Attach close-up candid photo AND a full body in JPEG format. Make sure the photo is taken in decent lighting (no selfies), no sunglasses against a neutral background.

*NOTE: Rename the title of your photos with your Full Name. You should do this with all your submission photos

4) Please confirm your mode of transportation. i.e., Uber, Taxi, CTA, Vehicle

5) Give us the name of the employer listed on your work permit and send us a scanned copy of your child’s current work permit.

6) Confirm you have open availability during the filming dates.
