WGN’s The Outsiders season 2 is now casting background extras in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
WGN’s hit TV series Outsiders season 2 is now casting background extras to work on the new season. Casting directors are looking for talent to play “Shay Mountain Folk” Producers are looking for men and women with long hair, beards, and facial hair.
About The Outsiders:
“Outsiders” centers around the Appalachian Farrell family, who, live off the grid and above the law on a mountaintop homestead.
The series is created and written by playwright Peter Mattei, who executive produces the drama alongside Peter Tolan (“Rescue Me”) and actor Paul Giamatti (“John Adams”). Thomas M. Wright (“The Bridge”), David Morse (“Treme”), Joe Anderson (“Hannibal”) and Kyle Gallner (“Veronica Mars”) have been cast on the new TV series.

If you are interested in being part of Season 2 for WGN’s TV SHOW “OUTSIDERS” please read below on how to submit and what we are looking for! NON-UNION EXTRAS IN AND AROUND THE PITTSBURGH AREA.
This shows setting takes place in Kentucky in 2 places.
Shay Mountain, where the Farrell Clan lives, and Blackburg, the town below the mountain.
We are looking for the following types of people:
Male and Female, all ages and all ethnicities!
SHAY MOUNTAIN FOLK:
(You will need to come off very natural like you are living off of the land, not visiting barbers for hair cuts, not wearing makeup, not visiting the nail salon)
Men with long hair and/or beards
Men with significant facial hair (We are still over a month away from filming so you have time to start growing out your hair and your facial hair)
Women long hair, no sharp/edgy hair cuts/ no highlights, must look natural so try to choose one natural hair color (basic blondes, brunettes, black,reds)
Kids: No braces, longer hair
TOWNSFOLK:
Small town Kentucky
Cops
Company Employees
Construction Workers
Secretary Types
Teachers/School Kids
Parents
Civilians
Bar Patrons and more!
