Wilmington, North Carolina Casting Call – Nicholas Sparks’ ‘The Choice’ Casting Call for kids and actors in North Carolina.

A sixth Sparks movie will begin production in North Carolina as director Ross Katz plans on filming “The Choice” in Wilmington, North Carolina. The movie is based on Nicholas Sparks 2007 novel about the life journey of a North Carolina couple.

Casting directors are looking for child actors to work on the upcoming feature film. There are several roles available and producers are seeking talent as young as 1 month to 6 years old.

In addition, casting directors are seeking extras for a boat party scene filming in North Carolina. Filming will take place in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Nicholas Sparks’ ‘The Choice’ Casting Call

THE CHOICE: Now casting for the following Featured Extra Children to work in our film for a day or two in mid to late Oct. Dates will be confirmed later. 

  • “Dylan” – age 6, African American or mixed.
  • “Hannah” – age 6, Caucasian
  • “Jesse” – age 6, Caucasian
  • “Younger Jesse” – age 3, Caucasian
  • “Katie” – age 3, Caucasian
  • “Newborn Katie” – Caucasian, 1 – 3 months old who is small enough to look like a newborn. We prefer twins. If not, the director will choose two babies who look similar enough.

Must be local to the Wilmington, N.C. area, to avoid traffic issues, etc…

Pay rate is $64/8 ($64.00 for up to 8 hours; time and a half after that) + a $25.00 Featured Extra Bump.

Extras Casting Call

THE CHOICE: Now casting the following background positions, for Monday, 10/13/14:

BOAT PARTY PEOPLE: 20s – 30s, must be comfortable in a bathing suit.

DOCKSIDE CUSTOMERS: Mostly adults, a few children will be permitted to work this day as well.

NO VISIBLE TATTOOS PERMITTED. NO CAMERAS ON SET. These are no-exception rules from production.

Must be local to the Wilmington, N.C. area, to avoid traffic issues, etc…

We’ve already reached out to a few of you. If you’ve already confirmed, you are already on the list for Monday and do not need to re-submit.

Pay rate is $64/8 ($64.00 for up to 8 hours; time and a half after that). Always plan on about a 12 hour day on set. Please do not submit for this if you can not commit to the full day. We will know your call-times, the night before. Once we wrap a days production, the director then decides the calltime for the following day. If you show up late, you will be replaced. If you no-show, you will be removed from our database. Background acting is a fun job, but its still a job and we need for you to be on time and professional.
