HBO miniseries “The Plot Against America” is now casting kid actors in New York City.
Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for Caucasian kid actors to play 1940s Jewish neighborhood kids for the new HBO series “The Plot Against America”. Filming will shoot from April 10th through early September in New Jersey and the New York City area.
About “The Plot Against America:
According to Deadline, the new HBO series is a six-part miniseries based on the Philip Roth novel. The show will center around an alternate American history told through the eyes of a Jewish family in New Jersey as they watch the rise of the nation toward fascism.

GRANT WILFLEY CASTING is seeking Caucasian KIDS (all ages!) to portray 1940s Jewish neighborhood kids for new HBO series THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA. NJ and NY locals welcome to submit!
This will be ongoing work throughout the whole season, which shoots from April 10th thru beginning of September. Primarily shooting in New Jersey and NYC area.
Boys must be comfortable receiving 1940’s hair cuts and girls must have hair chest length or shorter (or be willing to receive a cut). No braces!
All children will need to obtain NY and NJ work permits for children if they do not have already, as well as trust accounts. We can provide instructions on how to obtain.
***During the scenes, kids will also be asked to do various activities including: JUMP ROPE, STICK BALL, RIDING BICYCLE, HOP SCOTCH, JACKS, DOMINOS, etc. (to imitate kids playing in the neighborhood. So PLEASE note if child has any experience with baseball/stickball, etc.

-child’s name
-child’s DOB
-child’s wardrobe sizes (height, weight, shirt/pant, and shoe)
-child’s union status
-guardian’s name and phone number
-does child have NJ or NY permit set up yet? trust account?
-does child have general availability for April 10-September and open to recurring work?
-boys: ok receiving 1940’s hair cut?
-girls: is hair chest length or shorter? if not, willing to cut?
-familiar with baseball/stickball, etc?
-include a couple of recent photos that show child’s current look. NO HEADSHOTS PLEASE! A full body photo is great to include as well.
