HBO miniseries “The Plot Against America” is now casting deli workers and butchers in New York City.
Grant Wilfley Casting is now casting real deli workers and butchers for background work on the new HBO series “The Plot Against America”. Filming will shoot on April 10th through April 25th in Union City, New Jersey. Talents must be comfortable handling/slicing meat on camera! As this is a 1940s period show, men must be comfortable receiving a 1940s hair cut and clean shaven.
About “The Plot Against America:
According to Deadline, the new HBO series is a six-part miniseries based on the Philip Roth novel. The show will center around an alternate American history told through the eyes of a Jewish family in New Jersey as they watch the rise of the nation toward fascism.

The work date is TBD (but will be sometime between April 10-April 25th). Will film in Union City, NJ. Transportation will be provided from Manhattan if needed!
Seeking men with real butcher/deli counter experience who would be comfortable handling/slicing meat on camera!
Since this is a 1940s period show, men must be comfortable receiving a 1940s hair cut and being clean shaven for the shoot date.

-please note if you are available between 4/10-4/25
-please confirm your current wardrobe sizes (height, weight, jacket, neck x sleeve, waist x inseam, and shoe)
-note if you are comfortable receiving 1940s hair cut
-note if you are comfortable being clean shaven for shoot date
-note if you have any tattoos that would be visible in short sleeves
-note your level of deli/butcher experience and if you would feel comfortable handling/slicing meat on camera
-please include a couple of recent photos so we can see your current look and hair length!
