Netflix‘s “Baby-Sitters Club” speaking role open casting call

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on the new Netflix series “The Baby-Sitters Club”.

Producers are seeking the following role:

  • Claudia Kishi – female, 12-years-old, Japanese American. Claudia can be a bit of a. Dreamer with her head in the clouds, the result of which is that she’s not the greatest student. She’s ahead of the curve level cool and always arty, with fashionable clothes, a friend and neighbor of Kristy and Mary Anne. Claudia went through a phase where she “Decided she’s rather look like a Barbie than play with one.” Even her bedroom is a cool mess, filled with paintings, collages and clippings, and everyone agrees it’s the perfect meeting place for the newly formed Baby-Sitters Club – Series Regular

Filming will shoot in Vancouver, so actors will need to be eligible to work in Canada.

The BabySitters Club is back with Netflix ordering a 10-part series based on Ann M. Martin’s best-selling book series. The SVOD service has ordered a live-action series that will follow the friendship and babysitting adventures of five best friends in Stoneybrook, CT.
