Netflix’s ‘13: Musical‘ is now casting lead roles via online acting auditions.
Casting directors are now hiring actors, models, and talent to work on the production as it films in New York City starting this summer 2020. Filming will start summer 2020 in New York City and Toronto, Canada.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- Archie (12 – 16 year old to play 13)
- Archie is a teenager with muscular dystrophy who uses crutches. He’s deep into nerd culture and has a crush on Kendra, the head cheerleader at his high school. Thea ability to sing is required for this role. Actors with Muscular Dystrophy are encouraged to submit for this role.

About 13: The Musical:
The upcoming Netflix production is directed by Tamra Davis, produced by Neil Meron with music & lyrics by Jason Robert Brown featuring a script by Robert Horn. According to Broadway.com, ’13’ is a story of a Jewish teen who is forced to move across the country after his parent’s divorce. The show first premiered in 2008 on Broadway and it was the first and only musical to feature only teenagers. The original cast included Ariana Grande and Graham Phillips.
