NCIS: Los Angeles is a TV series that combines parts of police drama and military procedural genre together. NCIS: Los Angeles premiered in 2009 and follows the original NCIS on Tuesdays. The series was the first successful spin-off of NCIS, which was another spinoff of another CBS series, JAG. Recently on March 14, 2012 CBS renewed NCIS: Los Angeles for a fourth season.

The series follows the Los Angeles based office of Special Projects. An elite division of the Naval Criminal Investiagtive Service that specializes in undercover missions and assignments. The first episode of NCIS: Los Angeles received 18.73 million viewers and was the second most watched show that week behind the original NCIS. Reviews of the show have been mixed, but the New York Daily News comments that it is an hour of decent entertainment with enough room for character development.
