Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood will hitting the big screen pretty soon so, it may be just be a sunny day in the movie theaters pretty soon.
From Tim Madigan’s 2006 memoir, I’m Proud of You, the film will tell the story of Madigan’s deep friendship with Rogers that spanned from 1995 until Rogers’ death in 2003. They met while Madigan was on assignment for a story, and continued to bond as Rogers helped him through depression and his relationship with his own father.
According to EW, Little Miss Sunshine helmers Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris are set to direct I’m Proud of You.
