We are calling all water enthusiasts and adventure seekers! The City of Ridgeland is looking for talented individuals to feature in an exhilarating tourism commercial highlighting the splendor of Barnett Reservoir. If you are passionate about water activities and want to participate in an exciting project, read on for all the necessary details!
The tourism commercial will be a captivating display of the myriad activities at the picturesque Barnett Reservoir. From the tranquil delight of kayaking to the adrenaline-pumping excitement of skiing and wakeboarding, and the carefree fun aboard a pontoon boat, this commercial will encapsulate the essence of an unforgettable day by the water.
We are in search of passionate individuals who exude enthusiasm for water-related activities. Whether you’re an experienced kayaker, a skilled water skier, or someone who loves leisurely exploring the reservoir aboard a pontoon boat, we want to hear from you!
We have different roles for various age groups and genders, ensuring everyone can participate in this fantastic opportunity.
Kayakers: We are seeking male and female participants between the ages of 40 and 65 to paddle their way through the shimmering waters of Barnett Reservoir.
Ski/Wakeboarders: If you’re a male or female aged between 16 and 26 or between 40 and 60 with impressive water skiing or wakeboarding skills, we want you to showcase your talents in the commercial.
Pontoon Boat Participants: Our search includes males and females aged 16 to 26 and 40 to 60 who will have a blast aboard a pontoon boat, and swimming might be part of the fun!
To be part of this exciting project, you must be comfortable around and in the water. Swimsuits will be the wardrobe of choice during the shoot, so make sure you’re comfortable flaunting your swimwear.
While the ability to water ski is a bonus for some roles, it is not mandatory. We encourage all water enthusiasts to submit their applications regardless of their skiing experience.
Selected participants will not only have an incredible time on set but will also receive compensation for their roles as follows:
Kayakers (Male and Female, 40-65): $300
Ski/Wakeboarders (Male and Female, 16-26): $500
Pontoon Boat Participants (Male and Female, 16-26 and 40-60): $300

CASTING CALL: RIDGELAND TOURISM COMMERCIAL
Job Details: We are casting for a tourism commercial showcasing the exciting activities at Barnett Reservoir in Ridgeland. The shoot will take place on July 26 or 27. The commercial will feature kayaking, skiing/wakeboarding, and fun on a pontoon boat. All roles are non-speaking and involve water-related activities. The City of Ridgeland may use photos and videos from the shoot for promotional purposes.
Job Responsibilities: Selected talent will participate in the following roles:
- Kayakers: Paddling in boats on the reservoir.
- Ski/Wakeboarders: Showcasing water skiing or wakeboarding skills.
- Pontoon Boat Participants: Enjoy time on the pontoon boat, which may include swimming.
Requirements:
- All participants must be comfortable around and in the water.
- Participants should be comfortable wearing swimwear during the shoot.
- Ability to water ski is a bonus for some roles but not mandatory.
- Age and gender specifications are as follows:

Compensation: The selected participants will be paid for their roles as follows:
