Tom Hardy‘s Fonzo is now casting for jazz bands in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on Wednesday, May 9th in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- JAZZ BAND: casting 20’s – 50’s African American looking men and woman (18+ years old) to portray Jazz Musicians at a Prohibition Party set in Chicago. You will be required to play live so that people can dance. You must bring your own 1920’s-1930’s period appropriate instrument to play. Men: must be a size 44 coat or smaller. Woman: must be size 10 dress or smaller.
About Fonzo:
The 47-year old Al Capone, after 10 years in prison, starts suffering from dementia and comes to be haunted by his violent past. The movie stars Tom Hardy and is written/directed by Josh Trank.

You MUST be an EXPERIENCED jazz musician to work this scene set in the heightened excitement of the prohibition era! Attend a raucous party full of dancing and fun with Al Capone!
You must be able to attend a wardrobe fitting in Metairie next week: Monday 4/23 – Friday 4/27.

Please keep in mind that this is a period piece: unnatural hair color, modern haircuts, modern piercings, visible tattoos on hands, face and necks and full beards will NOT be considered! If you have a full beard, you will be required to shave it! Men, you must be OK with getting a 1940’s style haircut.
