James Franco’s ‘In Dubious Battle’ Starring Selena Gomez Townspeople Casting Call in Atlanta, Georgia
‘In Dubious Battle’ casting call for actors, models, and talent in Gay, Georgia (outside of Atlanta). Filming will take place on April 2nd and producers are looking for people to play middle class townspeople in the 1930s.
‘In Dubious Battle’ is set in a fictionalised valley in California, the story explores themes Steinbeck continued to develop: group behaviour, social injustice, man’s inhumanity to man. A labour conflict between migrant apple pickers and the local growers’ association is the backdrop against which Jim Nolan (Franco) becomes involved in the labour movement and rapidly matures as he learns what it means to do organisational fieldwork.
According to Empire Online, the new upcoming feature film will feature Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston and Danny McBride. The movie is based on the John Steinbeck novel ‘In Dubious Battle’.

1. Men will be more clean cut and should be open to a 1930’s hair cut if needed and facial hair (beards, and mustaches, etc…) are great! A haircut is not mandatory though, so don’t be scared wink emoticon
– WOMEN should have natural hair colors (and all lengths are ok) and NO acrylic nails please.
2. SIZES: Due to available costume sizes in the period (1930’s), these types can be as follows:
MEN: size 38 – 48 jacket
WOMEN: size 0 to 12 dress size
-OR- IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CLOTHES, EVEN BETTER!!! …Basics that can pass for 1930…see the link below to what the wardrobe info will be.
3: Pay rate is $64 for 8 hrs with O.T. after that.
You must be willing to work in Gay, GA (just below Senoia)
4: “BIG HEART” NOTE: This is a movie being done as low budget – every single person working on the movie, including all of actors cast in ALL of the roles, and all of the crew are working on this film for much less than we normally make, as we are all doing this to get this movie made. It’s an amazing script and an important story. Please google search for it and we hope as many of you as possible will want to be a part of it. ALL of the extras are very important in this film, as the story is about the PEOPLE!!!
