Movie Extras is looking for guys ages to 20 to 40 years old to appear in the new Mel Gibson movie The Professor and the Madman. Filming will take place in Wicklow, Ireland and casting directors are looking for extras to play soldiers in the US Civil War.

Mel Gibson is starring in “The Professor and the Madman” about the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary. Sean Penn is in talks to come aboard, according to Variety. Gibson plays professor James Murray, who began compiling the OED in 1857 and led the overseeing committee. Penn would portray Dr. William Chester Minor, who submitted more than 10,000 entries while he was an inmate at an asylum for the criminally insane.

The Professor & The Madman a feature period feature film – starring Mel Gibson, Natalie Dormer & Sean Penn are looking for Caucasian Males aged 20-40 years old for US Civil war scenes.
Hair cannot be shaved back or sides & must at least 2 inches in length. Naturally balding is acceptable but no shaved heads.
You may be asked to cut or trim hair and facial hair.
No Braces.
Applicants must be within the measurements required below.
Height: 5’6’- 6ft
Chest: 38-46
Waist: 32-36
Requirements:
Gender: Male
Ages: 20-40 years old
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Dates of Filming: Thursday October 13th.
Fitting Date:. Mon 10th or Tues 11th
Location of Filming: Wicklow
**Applicants must also be available for Fittings in Bray on Mon 10th or Tues 11th in the afternoon.*
