The Chi is now casting extras for gang members in Chicago, Illinois.
Showtime’s The Chi is now casting people to play gang member’s girlfriends and kissing couples. Filming will shoot between July 10th and Wednesday, July 19th in Chicago, Illinois.
About The Chi:
Executive produced by Common, The Chi is a relevant, timely and distinctive coming-of-age story and follows a half dozen interrelated characters in the South Side of Chicago.

LOOKING FOR PEOPLE COMFORTABLE PLAYING THE FOLLOWING:

1) GIRLFRIENDS OF GANG MEMBERS: Rate: $88/8
Female, African American, Age range: 18+
YOU MUST: be comfortable portraying a girlfriend of a gang member.
There is a possibility that a lead male actor could be nude in the scene.
YOU MUST: be comfortable being in a room with a male actor who could possibly be nude.
4) KISSING COUPLES (REAL COUPLES ONLY): Rate: $150/8
Male/Female, African American, Age Range: 18+
YOU MUST: be comfortable kissing on camera
YOU MUST: be comfortable being portrayed as a gang member (males) or a girlfriend of a gang member(females)
There is a possibility that a lead male actor could be nude in the scene.
YOU MUST: be comfortable being in a room with a male actor who could possibly be nude.

If you are interested and have open availability during these dates, send an email with the following to [email protected]:
1) In the subject line of the email write the name of the role you are submitting for. i.e. GANG MEMBER GIRL FRIEND or KISSING COUPLES
2) In the body of the email include your: name, age, height, weight, clothing measurements (jacket, shirt, pants), shoe size phone number, email, and zip code in which you currently reside. For couples, you must submit your information together.
3) Confirm that you are comfortable portraying a gang member’s girlfriend and all that it entails (doing drugs, being violent, etc.) or a kissing couple (male will be portrayed as a gang member and female as this girlfriend).
4). Confirm that you are comfortable being in the room where a lead male actor could possibly be nude.
5). Confirm that you have filled out the SURVEY pinned to the top of our Facebook page. (If you have not done so then fill it out now).
6) The exact shooting date is TBD – please list your availability during the given time frame: MON., 7/10 – WED., 7/19. We are only filming on a Monday – Friday schedule.
7) Attach (2) two current photos, 1 close up and 1 full body taken in good lit lighting. Do not cover your face. No hats, no sunglasses, no filters, etc.
8) Please let us know if you have previously worked on the show, and if so, what was the role that you played.
