Captive State starring John Goodman is now casting in Chicago, Illinois
John Goodman’s new movie Captive State is now casting background actors and stand-ins to work on the new feature film as it films in Chicago, Illinois. Producers are looking for background extras to work on a HUGE stadium scene filming in April and stand-ins to work on scenes starting this February.
About Captive State:
A Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after it has been occupied by an extraterrestrial force. The movie is directed and written by Rupert Wyatt and stars John Goodman.

Extras Casting Call
Casting Alert! We are shooting an outdoor, night shoot in a stadium venue in Chicago on or around Monday, April 3rd to Thursday, April 6th on the feature film, “Captive State”. The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt and stars John Goodman. We will start later morning and shoot until sunup the next day. We are searching for approx 500 paid extras for the first day and then about 300 the next three days.

Stand-ins Casting Call

Searching for African American men, 20’s/30’s, 5’11” to 6’1″ slim to medium build, medium to dark complexion to work as lead stand ins (same height and coloring as actor to use to light and block the set) on our feature film that we will be casting. We will start in February and shoot until May 2nd or so. Tall Guys Casting Call
Casting Alert! Searching for men, 6’6″ to 6’8″ to work a few days on “Captive State”. We start shooting Feb. 21st and shoot through the end of April. This is a very cool scene. You will wear full body suits (like a green screen body suit) and your face will be covered. You will be directed on how to move. If you can work send a recent color photograph with your height, weight, age, phone number, city and state. We are showing pictures now to the director.
Basketball Players Casting Call
Casting Alert! Searching for African American basketball players (male and female) 18 through 30 for a one-day shoot on our feature film, “Captive State”. We start Feb. 21st and shoot through the end of April. If you can free up your life for a day send a recent color photograph with your height, weight, age, phone number, city and state to [email protected] and put “Basketball” in the subject line. This will be for a pickup game outside.
Mopeds Casting Call
Casting Alert! Searching for men and women who ride Mopeds, Vespa’s, dirt bikes, any sort of motorcycle (no nice Harleys or nice bikes!)
Send a picture of your bike/Vespa, etc. along with a picture of yourself with your height, weight, age, phone number, city and state to [email protected] and put “dirt bike/Vespa” in the subject line. Let us know the color and brand of your bike.
This will be a one or two day shoot anytime from Feb. 21st through the end of April.

Baby Casting Call
Castiing Alert! Searching for an African American baby (5/6/7) months who can sit on a couch but not crawling yet, along with their real siblings around ages 3 to 8, If you have a baby this age and they have siblings send in a recent color photograph with their height, weight, age, phone number, city and state to [email protected] and put “AA family” in the subject line. All kids will need to obtain either an Empire casting work permit or a Joan Philo Casting work permit. This will shoot one or two days sometime during our shoot. We start Feb. 21st and film through the end of April.
Even though this is far away please send in NOW! Make sure the pictures are recent with recent hair length and style.
Dancers Casting Call
Casting Alert! Searching for men with military or dance experience, 6’1″ to 6’4″ medium build, to work a few days on “Captive State”. The dates TBD. If you are flexible enough to work any day from Feb 21st to the end of April and fit these sizes, send in a recent color photograph with your height (in bare feet without shoes) weight, age, phone number, city and state to [email protected] and put “Hunters” in the subject line.
The scene requires that you wear a full body suit and face mask. You will need to fly to LA for one day to get fit into the outfit.
You will need to attend a few days of rehearsal in addition to the few days of filming.

Plus Size Models Casting Call
Casting Alert! Local to the Chicago Area Only.!! Searching for a heavy set female (40’s to 60’s), any ethnicity, to play a social service lady on “Captive State”. This will be a one-day commitment, sometimes from mid feb. through early May. If you can free up your life for a day send in a recent color photograph dressed business casual, full length photo and close up to [email protected] and put “Social Worker” in the subject line.
