HBO’s Joe Paterno movie starring Al Pacino is now casting real lifeguards in New York City.
Casting directors are seeking talent to work on a scene filming on August 28th in New York City. Producers are seeking the following types:
- Seeking certified lifeguard to play young Caucasian male lifeguard in a 1970s pool scene for Untitled Levinson Project, starring Al Pacino as Penn State Coach Joe Paterno. Must have current certification. Must be available for costume fitting this week and shoot on 8/28. Must be 18 years or older.

According to Variety, the movie’s logline is the following: “After becoming the winningest coach in college football history, Joe Paterno is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal, challenging his legacy and forcing him to face questions of institutional failure on behalf of the victims.”
