HBO’s new movie “Blue Goose Hollow” starring Queen Latifah is holding a casting call in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Blue Goose Hollow” will center around Bettie Smith’s life and music. Smith was one of the biggest blues singers in the 1920′s and 1930′s. Her nickname was ‘The Empress of The Blues’. Her career took a hit during the Great Depression, and as she was trying to make a comeback, she lost her life due to a major car accident.
The movie will be directed and written by Dee Rees, the director of the Pariah. Latifah will star as Smith, and her production company Flavor Unit will produce alongside the Zanuck Company, Shelby Stone Productions, and HBO.
WSA Casting is currently seeking extras to appear in the movie. Casting directors are looking for extras available to work on Thursday and Friday evening on June 26th and June 27th. Actors must be available for a fitting on Tuesday and Wednesday for the HBO 1920”s feature film
