HBO’s new movie “Blue Goose Hollow” starring Queen Latifah is holding a casting call in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Blue Goose Hollow” will center around Bettie Smith’s life and music. Smith was one of the biggest blues singers in the 1920′s and 1930′s. Her nickname was ‘The Empress of The Blues’. Her career took a hit during the Great Depression, and as she was trying to make a comeback, she lost her life due to a major car accident.
The movie will be directed and written by Dee Rees, the director of the Pariah. Latifah will star as Smith, and her production company Flavor Unit will produce alongside the Zanuck Company, Shelby Stone Productions, and HBO.
WSA Casting is currently seeking extras to appear in the movie.

Bessie is a new HBO Film starring Queen Latifah.
The movie is a period film based in the 1920’s.
It is about Empress of the Blues Bessie Smith.
The movie will be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia June 16th to August 6th. We are excepting extras of all ages and ethnicities. Also, no African Americans can have red or blonde hair (because it is a period film). Dreads and braids are also unacceptable, unless willing to take out.
