Bolden Movie Casting Call for men with beards in Atlanta, Georgia
Recounting the jazzy life story of legendary cornet player Buddy Bolden, the film began its initial production in early 2007. It is the passion project of Hyatt Hotels heir and writer/director Dan Pritzker, who has reportedly funneled millions into the film.
Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker”) originally was featured in the title role but will be recast before filming restarts, according to Star News Online.Pritzker will reshoot all the scenes with the main character now played by a new actor. Mackie bowed out of doing the performance again. He has been replaced by Downton Abbey’s Gary Carr.
According to IMDB, Bolden! features Jackie Earle Haley, Omari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker.
Marinella Hume Casting is looking for bearded men to work on scenes filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Casting directors are looking for men with well groomed full beards. Producers are seeking men 5’8 and up to 5’11 size 30 to 36 only.
