Acting Tips for Families in a Commercial
Families with young children can be tricky to work with regarding commercials. But with some creativity and planning, you can get everyone on board and have a great time! Here are some tips:
- Keep the shoot short and sweet. Kids have shorter attention spans than adults, so try to keep the shoot as brief as possible. If you can break it into smaller segments, they don’t get too overwhelmed or bored.
- Make sure the kids are well-rested and fed. This will help them be in good spirits and more cooperative on set.
- Have plenty of activities to keep them occupied between takes. Some coloring books or small toys can help keep their minds occupied.
- Be prepared for tantrums. It’s bound to happen at some point, so be patient and try to roll with it.
- Have fun! This is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved, so ensure everyone is having a good time.
