Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on Monday, December 17th in Brooklyn, New York City.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • GWCI is seeking NON UNION AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN AND WOMEN to portray 1960s Protesters for the new EPIX series GODFATHER OF HARLEM!

Forest Whitaker will star in the EPIX series Godfather of Harlem. According to Variety, “The series is titled “Godfather of Harlem.” It will tell the true story of crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned after 10 years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy takes on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X, catching his political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart.”

GWCI is seeking NON UNION AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN AND WOMEN to portray 1960s Protesters for the new EPIX series GODFATHER OF HARLEM!

-Shoot date is Monday 12/17 (must have full day/night availability). Exterior work, current season. Wardrobe fitting is TOMORROW Friday 12/7 in Brooklyn.

Must be 18 yrs old or older. Tri-state area locals ONLY!
Must be okay getting a 1960s haircut and men being clean shaven on the day. No modern haircuts, no edging or fades. Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke. No wool allergies.

-Please attach (2-3) good quality photos, candid, non professional that clearly depict your CURRENT LOOK! No silly faces or filters!
-Confirm you are comfortable receiving a 1960’s hair cut
-Men: Are you comfortable being clean shaven on the day of work?
-Do you have any visible tattoos?
