FX ‘How and Why’ Starring Michael Cera Teens Casting Call in Wilmington, North Carolina

Date:

Casting director’s for FX new television series ‘How and Why’ Starring Michael Cera is now casting talent in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The comedy’s initial description reads, “The story of a man who can explain how and why a nuclear reactor works, but is clueless about life.” The pilot was written and directed by famed screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, who won two Academy Awards for “Being John Malkovich” and “Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.” Kaufman will executive produce with Anthony Bregman, who also collaborated with him on “Eternal Sunshine.”

Casting directors are looking for teens for several roles. There are a ton of details for this production. So make sure to read the details carefully:

WILMINGTON,NC-HOW AND WHY PILOT LOOKING FOR CAUCASIAN MALE AND FEMALES 11 YR-15 YR (WOULD LOVE TO FIND TWINS ). THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION SO PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY AND ONLY SUBMIT IF YOU MEET REQUIREMENTS.

I have a unique situation for this project. We have one actress who will be playing triplets. I am in need to find 2 photo doubles (would LOVE to find twins!!) who can match her from behind to be used when we need to see all three triplets in a shot.

We do have a young actress playing the role, but she is playing a tomboy so from behind it is very likely she will look like a boy. With that said, I would accept options of boys and girls but everyone would need to prepare to alter hair to match how they decided to have the actress look (but I am also seeing if production would consider using wigs). It would also be great if child has some acting experience because they might be asked to read lines off camera in some scenes.

This is a paid position, but the rate has not been finalized, but it shouldn’t be less than $125 per day. Those selected would need to be available to work in Wilmington, NC Thursday May 1st, Friday May 2nd, Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th (please note that these dates can always change). Because this is such a specific look I am looking for, I am willing to consider kids from outside of the Wilmington area, but please note that we will not be able to pay for travel and lodging.

So here is what I am looking for: 11-15 yr old Males and Females 5’4 ½” and petite. I am not sure what color they are going to have our actresses’ hair, so I would open it to blondes and brunettes. The following sizes are in reference to girl sizes: Top/shirt- xs or 0, pants/skirt: 0, hips: 28, 7 or 7.5 shoe. In reference for boys, just need options of small petite guys who wear size small.
If interested and you meet requirements please send recent photos (one shoulder and up, one full body length facing the camera and then one photo full body length facing away from camera), age, height, weight, wardrobe sizes, contact information, and your location to [email protected] SUBJECT:PHOTO DOUBLE
