Casting director’s for FX new television series ‘How and Why’ Starring Michael Cera is now casting talent in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The comedy’s initial description reads, “The story of a man who can explain how and why a nuclear reactor works, but is clueless about life.” The pilot was written and directed by famed screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, who won two Academy Awards for “Being John Malkovich” and “Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.” Kaufman will executive produce with Anthony Bregman, who also collaborated with him on “Eternal Sunshine.”
Casting directors are seeking male photo doubles to work on the new television show.

Wilmington, NC- PHOTO DOUBLE UPDATE (PLEASE READY VERY CAREFULLY AND ONLY SUBMIT IF YOU MEET REQUIREMENTS)
We have gotten some great submissions for photo doubles from females. Good news, it does look like we will be using wigs so those girls who submitted already with long hair you don’t need to stress about cutting or coloring hair. BELOW IS THE HAIR STYLE THAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ON A BOY, OR IF THERE IS STILL ANY FEMALES OUT THERE WITH THIS STYLE WE WILL TAKE AS WELL.
With that said, they would still like for me to try and get some options of BOYS to submit as possibilities. Just to refresh: looking for someone 5’4 1/2″ and on the small/petite size for wardrobe. Those selected would need to be available to work in Wilmington, NC Thursday May 1st, Friday May 2nd, Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th (please note that these dates can always change). Because this is such a specific look I am looking for, I am willing to consider kids from outside of the Wilmington area, but please note that we will not be able to pay for travel and lodging. Pay is $200 per day.
