Disney Announces New Star Wars Auditions Open Casting Call

Disney is now holding Star Wars auditions for an upcoming production in Orlando, Florida.

Auditions for Star Wars: Force Awakens may have passed. But, Disney is now holding auditions for actors to work on an upcoming event at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

Producers are looking for men and women between the ages of 20 to 30 that know everything about Star Wars. In addition, casting directors are looking for actors that can “entertain large groups,” in addition to “Comedic timing and have the ability to improvise.

Male Star Wars Audition 

Disney Parks and Talent Casting is seeking Male Interactive Actors for a new Star Wars event offering at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

Performers employed by the Walt Disney World® Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with Actors’ Equity Association.

Seeking:

Male Interactive Actors:  20s – 30s.  Knowledge of all things Star Wars.  Ability to facilitate to and entertain large groups.  Comedic timing and have the ability to improvise.

Kissimmee, FL 34747

Sign-in: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (late arrivals will not be able to audition)

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Please provide a current headshot and resume.
  • Please wear nonrestrictive clothing.
  • Please prepare a one minute comedic monologue.
  • Callbacks will be held November 17 in Orlando, FL.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was co-written and directed by JJ Abrams and takes place 30 years after ‘Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi,” when the rebels crushed the Galactic Empire. While audiences will see some of their favorite actors return to their iconic roles, a new wave of villains and heroes are expected to appear in the new feature film.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens” features Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Pip Anderson.
