‘Bolden’ is the passion project of Hyatt Hotels heir and writer/director Dan Pritzker, who has reportedly funneled millions into the film. ‘Bolden’ centers on a mythical account of the life of Buddy Bolden, the first Cornet King of New Orleans. According to IMDB, Bolden! features Jackie Earle HaleyOmari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker.

Bolden Casting Call

We need African American men and women to work this time period film based on the life of Charles “BUDDY” Bolden in late January. All Background must attend a wardrobe fitting in the 2nd week of January and be seen by the hair and makeup teams. Natural hair is a must, No colors or extensions of any kind will be allowed. This film is based in the early 1900’s before those were done. Please keep in mind that fake nails, eye lashes and tattoos were also not done back then so those would need to be removed and tattoos covered ( Prefer no tattoos at all ).
