BBC drama Babs is now casting lead speaking roles in London.
According to reports, casting directors are now casting for the upcoming BBC1 drama BABS. Casting director Jill Trevellick is now casting teen actors to play a young Barbara Windsor in the new BBC One drama.
About BABS:
Set in the 1990s, BABS will tell the heart-warming story of Barbara Windsor. BABS is written by Tony Jordan and will air next year on BBC1 as Barbara approaches her 80th birthday.

Casting for a small 12 – 14 year girl to play a young Barbara Windsor in a BBC single drama.
BABS – A 90 minute single drama for BBC1.

We are looking for a girl with a playing age of 12 – 14yrs. MUST BE SMALL – Max height 5ft, with blonde/light brown hair.
Fun loving, sweet, characterful cockney with a real sparkle in her eyes – a believable younger version of Barbara Windsor. Capable of honest, natural and emotional scenes as well as the ability to sing confidently and dance/move extremely well.
Genuine London/Cockney/Estuary accent or must have the ability to do the accent completely believably.
Must be able to provide a London base for filming.
NB – Filming in October for 4 weeks.
Previous professional acting experience not required.
