American Dad! Is an animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The animated series follows the lives of the Smiths, a dysfunctional family consisting of Stan and Francine and their children, Steve and Hayley. Other main characters include Hayley’s boyfriend Jeff Fischer, the family pet, Klaus, and Roger, an alien who Stan has recused from government scientists and hides in the family’s attic. The series set in a fictional town of Langley Fall, Virgina. Interesting to note, American Dad! Does not include cutaway gags, but focuses on situational humor unlike Seth MacFarlane’s claim to fame Family Guy.
American Dad! Has had 133 episodes, and seven seasons, the show has also been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards. American Dad features the voices of Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, and Dee Bradley Baker. American Dad! is made in association with Mike Barker, Seth MacFarlane, Matt Weitzman, Rick Wiener, and Kenny Schwartz a Fuzzy Door, Under Dog, and 20th Century Fox Television productions.
