Casting directors are now casting extras for the upcoming short film, Abel’s Faith.
PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION:
About Abel’s Faith: Two mafias came together. Unified by the marriage of the daughter of a Brazilian Godfather, and the son and heir of a Mexican Mafia. Over the past two decades, the couple has grown this dangerous merger, dominating illegal trade and services in Brazil, U.S., and Mexico.
When their son’s disobey the father’s orders, they are stripped of authority and punished to work as entry level street runners until they can recoup their father’s losses. They begin by forcing women into prostitution.
Twenty-one year old Abel Carsten, a top-tier sales rep hired straight out of grad-school, meets one such woman. Her name is Reena Grenadine. Something about Reena tugs at Abel’s heart. When he chooses to help her, it means confronting the sons of one of the most powerful Godfathers in the world. Her life is in his hands. Will he save his life by losing hers, or will he give his life to save them both.
SCENE INFO
We will be filming the ending scenes of Abel’s Faith. These take place at “Abel’s church”. Our viewers are unsure if Abel and Reena are alive or dead at the start of this scene. As the congregation, you will be dressed and, at first, acting as though you might be at a funeral.
ARRANGEMENTS
The scenes showing the congregation are scheduled to take place at the beginning of filming. Allowing the congregation to go home early. Directly after the congregation scenes have been shot, lunch will be served for everyone in attendance.
This is a religious film, but you do not have to be religious to attain a role.
None of the congregation will have lines in the film. Though some if not a majority of your faces may end up in the final cut of the film.
IMPORTANT NOTES & REQUIREMENTS
• Wardrobe: you will need to arrive at church on 10/10/14 dressed in formal clothing. Dark colors and blacks only for the ‘funeral vibe’.
• We are looking for AT LEAST FIVE “Principal Extras” to stay during the entire shoot. You will be seated around our lead actors, and your faces will most likely be be very plainly displayed in the final film. If you are interested, please mention that you would like to be a “Principal Extra” in your contact email.
• Children are allowed, but they must be seated next to their parents and dressed accordingly.
• Thank You: As a thank you, all participants are welcome to sign their names and contact info to receive digital or DVD copies of the final film!
In order to apply, please send you contact info, age, and a recent head shot (does not need to be professional, but must clearly show a true representation of your face). If you are chosen, we will contact you and provide further info including date/location.
You will be expected to come DRESSED in the appropriate (funeral) attire to the set.
