Godfather of Harlem starring Forest Whitaker is now casting funeral mourners in New York City

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on January 11th or 15th. Wardrobe fittings are scheduled for Tuesday, January 8th or Wednesday, January 9th in Brooklyn, New York City. Casting directors are looking for people to play funeral mourners for the new EPIX series Godfather of Harlem. Actors must be 18 years old or older. Tri-state areal locals only. Talents must be okay getting a 1960s haircut and men being cleanly shaven on the day of filming. No modern haircuts, no edging or fades. Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke and no wool allergies.

Forest Whitaker will star in the EPIX series Godfather of Harlem. According to Variety, “The series is titled “Godfather of Harlem.” It will tell the true story of crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned after 10 years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy takes on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X, catching his political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart.”

GWCI is seeking SAG-AFTRA or NON-UNION AFRICAN AMERICAN/CAUCASIAN MEN AND WOMEN ages 20s-70s to portray 1960s Funeral Mourners for the new EPIX series GODFATHER OF HARLEM!

-Shoot date will be Friday January 11th OR Tuesday January 15th (must have full day/night availability). Interior work, current season. Wardrobe fitting is Tuesday 1/8 or Wednesday 1/9 in Brooklyn.

Must be 18 yrs old or older. Tri-state area locals ONLY!
Must be okay getting a 1960s haircut and men being clean shaven on the day. No modern haircuts, no edging or fades. Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke. No wool allergies.
