Emily Hays Weaver

Emily Hays Weaver is a graduate of Samford University where she received her BFA in musical theatre and dance minor. Currently, Emily is working at Dollywood playing Avie Lee Parton in "Tennessee Mountain Home", a role in which she originated last year. She is also teaching tap at Mountain Movement Dance Center. Recent Samford credits include Urinetown! the Musical (Hope Cladwell), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Amahl), Orphie and the Book of Heroes (Aeschylus/Pegasus), The Magic Flute (1st Lady), A Christmas Carol (Emily), and Blue Yonder (Diane/Alice/Sadie). Her favorite tech credits include assistant stage manager (The Sleeping Beauty Ballet- Magic City Performing Arts), assistant stage manager (The Merry Widow- Birmingham Music Club), props designer (Orphie and the Book of Heroes-Samford University), spotlight operator (Tinkerbell- Samford University), and mic technician (Wind in the Willows- Samford University).
