Mark Roberts

Born in Connecticut but raised in Texas, Mark Roberts' passion for the arts and the world of fine wine has taken him across three continents. During the 1980's, Mark worked in the hospitality industry as a beverage director for a large, multi-concept restaurant group. During this time, he was also working, when he could, on film sets as a background extra. In 1990, Mark moved to Florida and worked as a stuntman for Universal Studios, as well as working crew member for the Florida Film Group. Upon returning to Texas, he found work as a background extra for the first two seasons of the hit television series Walker Texas Ranger. Mark's in-depth knowledge of fine wine allowed him to become the first Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators in the state of Texas, and at that time, one of only twelve in the world. After finding the true love of his life, Mark married and spent the next twenty years as a corporate wine buyer for a large retailer in Texas, as well as, an international wine judge, an award-winning wine writer, wine educator, guest speaker and consultant. Currently, he is a consultant for the insurance industry in wine loss investigations and wine fraud. His film training includes the Adam Rourke Actors Lab, the Dallas Screenwriters Association, the National Stuntman Association, and Thunder Ranch. Semi-retired, Mark is actively seeking work in his favorite environment, the film and television industry.
