Susan Barth

BS/MHA retired healthcare professional. Eastern European, German and Swedish descent. Have held positions in a variety of fields from patient care, hospital administration, physician recruitment, to business development, sales and marketing for hospitals, international medical device development, and pharmaceutical research. My most recent positions required numerous presentations to groups as small as 2 and larger than 200, involved in training videos, and taken improv classes as part of of sales training. I've lived in several cities, and traveled around the world for both work and leisure. I currently live in Wilmington, NC, but have family in and around LA, Atlanta, Tampa/St. Pete, and Buffalo. I've been taking a variety of acting, audition, and voiceover classes since retiring in late 2022. Since then, I've been an actor and background actor for several TV shows and movies. In 2023 I had my first speaking roles in two independent films. My first role was as a mother/grandmother in a film about a teenager contemplating suicide called Jupiter Bug. My second role was as a hospital nurse to a dying grandmother in a film called Violet, the story of a family and the loss of their matriarch grandmother. In my younger years I was a child runway model for some clothing stores, did musical theater in teens and 20's, was in a few hospital commercials in my 30's. In the late 80's/early 90's I was the Producer/Director, of a group national physician recruitment commercials for the US Public Health Service. The goal was to recruit physicians to medically underserved areas, Native American Reservations, Immigration Facilities and Federal Prisons. I did pre-production location scouting, hired a small film crew, and we traveled together to on-location sites throughout the US. I also did some post-production work and music selection with our editor. It was a very fulfilling and successful campaign. As a result of this experience, I can appreciate the tremendous amount of work involved in commercial and film production.
