Battling The Fiery Wings: Chris Hemsworth on ‘The Hot Ones’

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, well known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently appeared on the internet talk show ‘The Hot Ones’, giving audiences a laugh as he wrestled with increasingly spicy chicken wings. When asked by Sean Evans, the show’s host, about his food adventurism, the response was soon to be tested.

The Structure of The Fiery Challenge

‘The Hot Ones’ presents guests with a range of ten hot sauces, each spicier than the one before. Hemsworth kicked off the challenge strongly, managing the heat of the first few sauces, even tasting Mark’s Fermented Kimchi which measured 18,000 on the Scoville heat scale. However, by the time he reached Meow’s Revenge of 54,000 on Scoville Units, signs of distress began to show.

Turning up The Heat: Hemsworth’s Journey through The Scaling Spice

The heat scales up with the sixth sauce, Onima, that sits at a finger-numbing 71,000 Scoville Level. Hemsworth admitted to the noticeable heat difference, correlating the jump to moving from pepper to chili. He held his composure avoiding the milk, a known relief from the fiery assault.

Undeterred, the star moved on to Red Flag. With an eye-watering 121,000 Scoville Level, initial desensitization was soon followed by bouts of coughing. Hemsworth called time when he reached DA’ Bomb: Beyond Insanity, a forceful 135,000 on the Scoville Level, admitting defeat and reaching for the milk.

Remaining sauces, including the final one boasting 2.6 million on the Scoville Level, saw an evidently struggling Hemsworth wincing in pain, teary-eyed, and struggling to breathe.

Marvel Teammates who Weathered the Spice Storm

Unsurprisingly, Hemsworth wasn’t the first Marvel hero to take on the spicy chicken wing challenge. Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, and Jeremy Renner also braved the spice onslaught.

1. Scarlett Johansson encountered similar torments, left teary-eyed and visibly uncomfortable from the 2-million Scoville wing eaten during her ‘Avengers: Endgame’ promotion.

2. Tom Holland, promoting ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, also danced around the room in distress, drowning his spice-induced tears in glasses of milk.

3. Jeremy Renner brought the heat upon himself by dousing his wings in the spiciest sauce and ended up feeling his face on fire.

Unruffled Spice Queen: Elizabeth Olsen

In contrast to her Marvel comrades, Elizabeth Olsen, a.k.a the Scarlett Witch, stayed poised and smiling during her spicy wing challenge. She completed all ten questions with laughter, leaving spectators shocked at her superior spice tolerance.

In conclusion, ‘The Hot Ones’ continues to entertain audiences, inviting celebrities to share their stories, while battling the fiery wing challenge. It offers a spicy twist to typical interviews, displaying stars in uncommon, relatable predicaments. Amidst all the spice-infused drama, one thing is sure – It’s not only villains that make our superheroes sweat!
