About:
Salvatore Greco is a son of Italian emigrants and was born in Switzerland. He grew up bilingual (German and Italian). After graduating from high school, Greco began training as an actor in Zurich in 2001. He has training in dancing[1] (Latin American), martial arts (Swiss champion 2000 Qwan Khi Dao) and athletics. Already during his acting training in Zurich, Greco received his first engagements as "Archangel Michael" and "Table Company" alongside Maria Becker and her son Benedict Freitag in the play Jedermann[2] by Hugo von Hoffmansthal. After graduating, Salvatore Greco was given his first TV role by Vivian Naefe, "Five Star Guys Included"[3]. Various formats and roles for Swiss television and cinema productions followed[4], and at the same time Greco remained faithful to the theater stage. During this time he played alongside Marco Rima, Mike Müller, Leonardo Nigro and other Swiss greats such as Isabelle von Siebenthal. Greco left Switzerland in 2009 to further hone his craft. His acting training spanned from the Giles Foreman Centre for Acting in London to the Stella Adler Studio of Acting (New York). In 2012, he achieved wide exposure on television in Germany. This was followed by various projects for broadcasters such as ZDF, ARD and RTL. Among others, in 2020 he interpreted as a continuous leading role the chief inspector Battiato in the ZDF series "Blutige Anfänger"[5]. Salvatore Greco pays attention to student and low-budget productions, and in 2017 he was awarded Best Short Film at the MOMO Film Festival for the short film Für das Meer, welches eine schimmernde Wüste ist[6](directed by Simon Helbling). Greco has been married to actress Juliette Greco since 2013 and has a daughter and a son with her. Salvatore Greco speaks five languages, he commutes between Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Great Britain.
