Maria Ah-Yu

Maria Ah-Yu is a 24 year old actor living in Melbourne, Victoria. She was born and raised in Mauritius a small island in the Indian Ocean when she moved to Australia in 2012. She is passionate about acting and screenplay writing. Maria studied a Full Time Screen Acting Course at the Film & Tv Studio International. Other courses included Text to Screen Acting with Katrina Milosevic, Acting and Modelling at NFTA and a day course acting workshop at NIDA. Throughout her time, Ms Ah-Yu has studied with several professional actors such as Tyler Coppin, Eve Morey, Bernard Curry, Kim Valentine, Kate Jenkinson, Danielle Carter, Tottie Goldsmith and Simone Buchanan. Maria speaks 3 languages - French, Creole and English. She is an intermediate horseback rider and is comfortable doing a French accent.
