Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is coming back for a sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alloy Entertainment is developing a sequel to the popular book turned movie, “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”
The upcoming feature film will be titled “Sisterhood Everlasting” and will have Ken Kwapis to direct the series.
Kwapis who directed the original production in 2005, will return to direct and have Liz Garcia writing the script for the production.
Sisterhood Everlasting, was written by Ann Brasheres and was released in March 2012. The story centers on the four girls ten years later as they have grown a part and are busy living their adult lives. But, Tibby attempts to bring the close group of friends together by reuniting the girls for a trip.
Ally Entertainment alongside Alcon Entertainment produced the first two Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies which featured Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn.
Morgenstein commented on the upcoming production:
